Express yourself was a really fun and creative session. The kiddos really enjoyed it. We had many great discussions around the table and lots of laughs as we worked through the process of art and did not focus on the outcome. We used music, dance and skipping to get our body moving and keep our creative juices flowing.

Job Title: Community Outreach Worker
Community: Cherryville
Status: part-time (15hrs per week) start May 15th, 2021 – May 15th 2022 (possibility for more hours depending on funding)
Position Summary
The Community Outreach Worker will work at the Cherryville Community Food & Resources building providing information and support to inquiring individuals. A focus on working with the aging population and volunteer recruitment and coordination is a priority. The Community Outreach Worker will work closely with our team to grow the organization and implement services that meet the unique needs of our community.

This is a part-time position, consisting of 15 hours per week at 21.00/hour (includes MERCS). This position is secure for one year with the potential to continue depending on funding availability. Hours can be moved around to fit schedule of Community Outreach Worker.

Cherryville Community Food and Resource Society has an INCREDIBLE team of volunteers who support our vision and mission for increasing access to programs and services within the Cherryville area. Our 2024 focus is to strengthen our current volunteer base and actively recruit for new members. Some exciting things we do with our volunteers include regular “coffee breaks”, socializing events, and appreciation gestures. Without our volunteer team, the work we do in Cherryville would not be possible and we want to take a moment to highlight the incredible people part of our organization.
